288G and 511E? pair $1100 feepay

Somebody correct me if those are not E's, the throats look right to me...listed at 550 ech BIN, a couple years back would have nailed these and posted later...

Yes they are ! With 288-8G's no less... IMO $1100 isn't too bad for the pair.. Figure about $300-$400 (Due to Rarity) for the horns and $700-$800 for the 288-8G's is a good price. Just a year or two ago they were selling for over $1500 for just the drivers.

You don't need a big place for those...The horns are actully smaller than a 511B throat wise..But the 288G's sound super nice.. Effortless I like to say.It is one of the smallest large format horns you can get from Altec.The Manta MR594II being another that is similiar in size.

One oddity about the board. When you correct a typo in the title it shows when you open the thread but not on the board main page. I fixed 100 to 1100 but still shows 100 when you browse threads.

It maybe a moderation thing dunno.You should be able to change it.I edited your first post (Title) and put a reason for editing and it is now fixed..

I went to advanced mode and edited...it fixed it in the thread but not on main page. As you say may be a moderator thing. Dang I wanna buy these, miss my old 16G's.
